The short version
We collect what an order needs
Name, delivery address, email, phone and the contents of your cart. Nothing more is required to ship a box.
We do not sell data
Your email address has never been sold, rented or traded to a third-party list, and it will not be.
You can ask us to delete it
One email is enough. We remove the account and order history, keeping only what tax law requires us to retain.
Information we hold
- Order details — items, amounts, delivery address, order notes.
- Contact details — the email address and delivery details you give at checkout.
- Payment confirmation — the processor returns a reference and the last four digits. Full card numbers are never stored on our servers.
- Technical data — browser type, approximate region and pages visited, used to fix broken pages and measure what people actually read.
- Messages — emails and chat transcripts, kept so the next person who helps you knows the history.
Why we hold it
To fulfil orders, to answer questions, to process returns and refunds, to keep accounting records that satisfy state and federal tax rules, and to detect fraudulent orders. We also use aggregate page analytics to decide which guides to write next.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep your cart and login session working. Analytics cookies tell us which pages are used. You can block either category in your browser; blocking the essential ones will break checkout, which is a limitation of how carts work rather than an attempt to trap you.
Who else sees it
Only the companies required to complete an order: the payment processor, the carriers that deliver the parcel, our email provider and our hosting provider. Each is bound by contract to use the data only for that purpose. We do not run third-party advertising pixels that build a profile of you across other websites.
Your choices
- Access and correction — ask for a copy of what we hold and have errors fixed.
- Deletion — request removal of your account and order history.
- Marketing — unsubscribe from any email in one click, or ask us to remove you.
- Do not track — we honour browser do-not-track signals for analytics where the platform supports it.
